Your personal data – what is it?
‘Personal data’ is any information about a living individual who can be identified from that data. Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information. The processing of personal data will be governed by the new Data Protection Act.
Who are we?
This Privacy Notice is provided to you, by Love Pilates who decide how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

What data do we process?
Name and contact details such as telephone numbers, addresses, email addresses and health check screening information.
How do we process your personal data?
We will comply with our legal obligations to keep personal data up to date, to protect it, store and destroy it securely.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To keep a secure database of clients, contact details in case of class cancellations or venue changes

To keep a record of clients’ health screening data and consent to exercise for insurance purposes

To record clients attendance for health & safety/risk assessment

To send clients communications about Love Pilates – cancelled classes, new class terms, new classes and newsletters

Bank details are only requested only when refunds need to be made - normally refunds are done by cash or cheque.

What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?
The legal basis is that we have your explicit consent to keep you informed about cancelled classes, our news, events and general company information.

Sharing your personal data
Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential within our company. It will NOT be shared with any third party and we do not transfer personal data outside the EEA.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We will keep your personal data no longer than the purpose for which it was collected.
Your rights and your personal data
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

The right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold on you

The right to correct and update the information we hold on you

The right to have your information deleted.
When we receive your request, we will confirm whether the data has been deleted or the reason why it cannot be deleted (for example because we need it for regulatory purposes). -
The right to withdraw your consent to the processing of data for which your consent was sought.
You can withdraw your consent by email or by post. -
The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Further processing
If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose not covered by this Notice, then we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use prior to commencing the processing and setting out the relevant purposes and processing conditions. Where and whenever necessary we will seek your prior consent to the new processing.
